SSR Transponder Codes
General
In Ireland, IFR and VFR, which are in controlled airspace, get the same transponder codes assigned.
Assignments
Eastbound:
- 2001 to 2077
- 2701 to 2737
- 0401 to 0437
to United Kingdom:
- 1420 to 1457
- 4215 to 4245
Oceanic / Domestic:
- 0060 to 0067
- 0070 to 0077
- 2601 to 2657
Other regulations
- Incoming traffic with code 2000, are assigned a domestic code.
- Incoming traffic which already has a code assigned will keep current code. (ORCAM)
- Traffic coming from the Atlantic get a code depending on the destination, same as departing aircraft.
- Aircraft flying a North Atlantic Track should set code 2000 after 30 minutes flying on the NAT.
